Contractors lock jig that uses a set of interchangeable templates with a router to cut the mortice and faceplate for poular door locks
This jig uses a set of interchangeable templates & with a router will cut the mortise & face-plate recess for popular door locks.
- For most common sash mortises & dead locks, with up to 3 inch deep mortises & a 7/8 inch or 1 inch face-plate.
- Deeper mortises can be achieved with a suitable size of auger bit.
- Fast, clean & accurate results on doors 34mm to 58mm thick, even in hardwood.
- Steel plates & body.
- An auger bit and drill is required to complete deep mortises.
- The jig requires a 1/2- inch plunge router with a 80mm plunge, fitted with a 30mm guide bush with 6mm spigot & 12mm diameter long reach cutter.
A 1/4-inch plunge router can be used for the face plate but will not achieve full depth of mortise. - Other sizes of template available to special order, please contact Trend Technical Support for more information.
